Be a part of PrideLife Expo 2022, the largest ever exposition of businesses, agencies and non-profit organizations in North Carolina who want to connect with, support and serve the LGBTQ+ community. Produced by the Raleigh Business Professional Network (RBPN) and the LGBT Center of Raleigh with official partner Resources for Seniors this will be a great opportunity for members of the LGBTQ+ community and exhibitors to come together.

Join the excitement while interacting with over 100 organizations that want you to know that they value their relationship with you and all members of the LGBTQ+ community. Some of them are LGBT owned or operated; all others identify as community friendly. While you move from table to table getting to know the many exhibitors and sponsors on the expo floor enjoy complementary hors d'oeuvres, music by DJ Freddie Livingston, and much more.


Drag Queen Story Hour

10:30am - 11:30am

Emory Starr

Emory Starr is a local performer at Legends Nightclub. She is also the owner of Sugar Qween Bakery where she enjoys producing creative, beautiful and delicious confections. Emory has been reading for Drag Queen Story Hour since August 2019 and loves the joy and excitement on children’s faces when in attendance at the DQSH events.

Mayor of Raleigh

Mayor Baldwin will be joined by Representative Allison A. Dahle, Raleigh City Council Members Saige Martin and Jonathan Melton, Wake County Commissioner Sig Hutchinson, and others other community leaders. Live entertainment provided by the Triangle Gay Men's Chorus, the Triangle Pride Band, and the Common Woman Chorus.


"Spilling the T" (A Transgender Q&A)

10:00am - 3:00pm

"Spilling the T" is dedicated to helping answer Transgender questions. In this space, questions can be asked freely without fear or judgement, anger or hurting someones feelings. We will have a transgender woman, man and non-bianary person on hand to field all your questions. All questions are private and held in a one-on-one private setting broken up in 10 min sessions throughout the day. Questions can also be asked anonymously, during the expo, from the panel and will be answered electronically as time permits. Education is our goal.


Name Change Clinic

12:00pm - 12:45pm

Kori Hennessey

Director of Education & Programs at the LGBT Center of Raleigh

Kori and representatives from Counsel Carolina will be talking about the steps necessary to legally change a person's name in the state of North Carolina. Although it will be Wake County specific, most county practices are the same or very similar. Example packets will be available to look through and presenters will be available for Q&A.

Lorraine Johnson

Lorraine Johnson works with business owners, non-traditional families, and those who are either retired or within 5-10 years of reducing their involvement in the workforce. She has a passion for helping them create, manage and preserve their wealth while bringing them financial independence and confidence. Her services include financial planning, investment management and insurance. She particularly enjoys providing investment advice and helping business owners to integrate their personal and business planning.


Tips for Travelers and Tourists - The Joy of LGBTQ+ Travel

The Joy of Travel is that indescribable feeling you get when you take that first step on a new journey to discover another part of the world. It doesn't matter if the journey is a thousand miles or much, much less. What matters is that it makes you feel alive and brings you enjoyment.

Our assembled panelists, composed of travel agents and experienced travelers, will provide important general information dealing with the many different opportunities and significant aspects to consider for achieving rewarding travel experiences. Topics will include safety, cost and LGBTQ+ welcoming destinations. There will be time set aside in the presentation to ask general travel related questions.
